Lappie has got new friends!
Hi everyone, please welcome my new best friend, the bunnies!
Does anyone have idea on what is it?
Nah, I’m so kind to reveal the answer straight away! It’s a USB device to warm hands up through laptop. So what I have to do is just to plug the cable while using laptop, and there’ll be consistent wave of heat generated in the middle of the bunny gloves. TADA, and then I can say goodbye to my icy hands when I'm at indoor!
This is such a BRILLIANT and useful invention to me!! Now I feel warmer and calmer with this pair of gloves on while I'm rushing for assignments or simply enjoying my bubbly drama time. And when I’m bored of doing my work, there’s always this pair of bunnies smiling and accompanying me all night to keep me battling, they are really awesome studying partner, isn’t it?
Dear bunnies, this winter feels better with you guys.=)
Dear BFFs,this winter feels warmer with all your support. You guys are really awesome and considerate as always.

The three betrayers
The first US character we saw when we stepped in US was the Son of Frankenstein. Initially, I didn’t want to take picture with him at all because I had no idea who he was and he was not quite appealing as a mascot. However, we still stepped up to him since he was the first character we saw in the studio.

Nothing happened in the first picture. But the story only began after the first picture, when he started fooling us around by grabbing us along with him. We, known as the betrayals by HW quickly ran away the moment he started grabbing us.

Because of this photo, we were being known as the betrayers for the whole day!
Actually, we ran quite far away also. But please don't neglect the third person who moved his standing location as well, so it was not just us who ran away ok! When I thought of it later on, I felt quite bad for the character because he was just being friendly to us in his own way perhaps, but we turned our back to him the moment he showed his friendliness.
Also, I wonder how could CK pose when she was still in fear?
Then we met the Egyptians later on. They did not wrap our neck this time but they did something else.

I realized most of the characters in Universal Studio like to fool the visitors. That reminds me very much of the chicken in movie world Gold Coast. That time, my sister and I stood beside the chicken and readily posed for the picture, but then the chicken suddenly wrapped my neck with its arms and pulled me behind, with another arm grabbing my sister’s neck. That’s how we took a very funny picture with us being ‘murdered’ by the chicken.
CHICKEN OH CHICKEN, I wonder if you are still there or not. I would have done the same thing to you if I ever see you again, I suppose.

The swan and I
When I was biking at Stanley Park with Isis 2 months ago, we passed by this swan.

What’s so special about this swan?? It was almost twice the size of a regular swan, undoubtedly big enough to catch our attention. We decided to stop by and take a picture of it.
At first we thought it was very gentle and going near it to snap a picture wouldn't be a problem to us.
But but…..don’t be deceived by its calm and steady look.We totally underestimated the swan.

The swan was so defensive, the moment we went near it, it opened up its wings to ‘welcome’ us. When we were 2 steps from it, it started biting our shoes already.Seriously, I thought a big fat animal like this would be a little bit retarded and tame, but I was really wrong.
SORRY LAH swan, I really looked down on you before that.

So that’s how this awkward photo is born, with a photo tittle "The defensive swan and a nervous me". What a combination !!!!

Nicknames
Better Together-Jack Johnson
I noticed a lot of my friends like to add ‘baby’ behind my name. They prefer calling me mich ‘babi’ or ‘ babe’ or simply just ‘bb’ to make it sound sweeter. At first there was just one friend who called me baby, and then more and more friends joined the line. To me, I don’t mind people calling me any nicknames at all so long that they are sweet and nice. It’s just that different bunch of friends call me by different nicknames, that's why my nicknames are various and ranged widely, from animals to cartoons to some weird ideas which pop out from the nowhereland.
Here are some examples:
1. 蚂蚁
2. 呆mun仔
3. Minnie mouse
4. Mich babi
5. Darmun
6. Munx2
7. Bzz Mun
8. Ah Pui
9. Ah B chan
10. Lao Po
11. Bossi
Somehow these nicknames make me feel good because they all have different interesting stories behind them. Also, they remind me of different persons and bring up different memories. That’s why I tell you, it’ll be so difficult for you guys to come up with a new nickname for me, because I already have a list of names and I don’t know what else can I be called.
SERIOUSLY, WHAT ELSE CAN I BE CALLED?

Our bet
About one month ago, Eu asked me to randomly guess the world cup champion 2010 by telling me all the participating countries. She knew that I’m a football noob, that’s why she asked me to guess it by using all my luck.
She said : “ Oklah, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, England etc are the stronger teams among the others. “
So with no knowledge about the footballers and their skills,I started eliminating the teams intuitively …
I don’t like Brazil and there’s no reason for it, so Brazil is out.
Argentina, my only impression on Argentina is just that song “ Don’t cry for me, Argentina” and it doesn’t sound good to have everyone crying for the country. I don’t like, so Argentina is out.
England, I only know Beckham, but Beckham is not playing already, so England out.
What’s left? Germany.
Me: Ok, then I choose Germany.
Eu chose Argentina , and we made a bet in such a way that the loser will do a thing for the winner, and if Argentina and Germany didn’t win, then it’s a tie and we shall forget about the bet. Somehow my intuition tells me that she’s going to ask me cook for her if I lost the bet.
Because of that, I actually watched one football live match just to see how Germany team performs. After watching the match between Germany and England, I started feeling good about my supporting team. Hohoho, hopefully the good luck continues my way.

Therefore, one reason Germany should win the World Cup 2010 is because that I chose you out of the other 31 countries based on nothing but a blind guess and faith.
So reward me with your victory okay, keep up the spirit and morale.

Chinese
I’ve been hanging out a lot with some Taiwanese and Chinese friends lately and that makes me realize the difference between the levels of our Mandarin proficiency. Why? Because I’m so used to speaking Rojak language, I like to add a few English words in between my mandarin sentences since young. Everyone besides me seems to be fine with the way I speak, so I never bother to even figure out the Chinese words of those English words.
Until recently, I noticed this habit has become a minor problem of mine. I realized I can’t express myself spontaneously in complete chinese sentences.
For instance, I was cooking for my friends yesterday and I mentioned out the ingredients verbally. I said:
我需要洋葱,蒜,青葱,soy sauce,鸡胸肉,麻油,corn starch…..
And then I paused for a while to think of the chinese word of corn starch.
玉蜀黍粉?Hmmm, that’s not it… what’s corn starch in Chinese then?
After much hesitation,I decided to ask my friend what corn starch in Mandarin is and she told me 太白粉!
太白粉….I never knew that!!!!
This is just a typical situation I’m confronting though, I’ve learnt more Chinese words everytime I’m with them, because the way we speak Mandarin is just so different. It’s like I hardly say 机车 to describe people who’re annoying and ostentatious, and I usually use串 instead. Also I don’t say 屌 but I say 酷.
Hehe, it seems like I’ve to cope with listening these words from now onwards, while improving my Chinese simultaneously.
Share with you one word that I’ve just learnt from Isis-断袖分桃. ^.^ Have fun figuring it out, lol.

20 Cents Theory
Few days ago I talked to Lawrence and he randomly tested me on his 20 cents theory:
Law: What will a girl do if a guy only had 20 cents?
Me:Ehh, why?
Law:
If the girl took all the 20 cents, that means the girl loves herself more than she loves the guy.
If the girl shared with the guy and each gets 10 cent, that means she's really looking into their future, and she's willing to work hard together for it.
If the girl gave all the money to the guy, that means she loves the guy more than he loves her.
Me:What if the girl gave the guy extra 20 cents?
Law:That means...the girl is rich.
Me: Lol.
Law: Jk.That case then the guy will be very touched and will work even harder to repay the girl for what she has sacrificed for him,to make her feel that he's worth it.
That's the funny future lawyer's set of 20 cents theory, I LOL-ed twice because I knew he made it up. That's just so his style because he loves crapping. The more you know him, the more you understand his bird language.
Being distant for 7942 miles, 16 hours of time difference, 8 months of not seeing each other yearly, it's so amazing that he's always there when I need a pair of ears. He's like my second brother, teaching me his bird language and his ways to distinguish a good guy and a bad guy. Most of the time,he also shares with me his lame jokes and basically everything that we can think about.
People who don't know him good enough will think that he's always playful and sarcastic. Some girls even find it annoying because he criticizes them quite often. However, I really appreciate his honesty and care although his sarcasm can never change. At least he bothers to tell me things straight off without giving me face at all, instead of lying to me.His honesty and care are what I find valuable in our friendship.
He's definitely one of the very important guy friends (V.I.G) in my life.Bear bear young tops the ranking, Law will definitely be the second. With them, I've more than enough reasons to be content with my life.

Shrek in real

Maurice Tillet ( 1903 - August 4, 1954 ) was a professional wrestler in the early years of the entertainment-sport. Born in France, he was highly intelligent and could speak 14 languages. He was also a keen poet and was hoping to get into the acting business.
In his twenties, he developed acromegaly, a rare disease that causes bones to grow wildly and uncontrollably. Soon his whole body was disfigured as a result. This led to much pain for Tillet as this gentle man was being called names, berated and forced to flee the place he loved so much.

Seeking a new identity to fit his chronic disfigurement, Tillet fled to America where he made a living on his appearance by becoming a professional wrestler, and was dubbed as the "freak ogre of the ring". His villain persona ("the French Angel") was an instant success with the crowds. Perhaps the highlight of his career was on August 1, 1944, when The French Angel defeated Steve "Crusher" Casey for the American Wrestling Association World championship.
He soon became a recluse, although a few people did manage to befriend Tillet, including the businessman Patrick Kelly, whose home in Braintree, Massachusetts Tillet would often visit. There the pair would often play chess together.

Tillet died in 1954 from heart disease at age 51. Bobby Managain, who as Bobby Managoff was a wrestling champ, asked Tillet on his death bed if he could make a plaster cast of his face. Tillet agreed, and Bobby made three masks of his face. Once of which was given to Milo Steinborn, while two ended up with Patrick Kelly. Steinborn donated this mask to the York Barbell Museum years ago. One of the masks sat on Kelly's office desks for years, the other he donated to the International Wrestling Museum in Iowa.

Paranormal Anecdote
A story exists that, in 1980, 25 years after Tillet's death, Patrick Kelly installed a computerized chess machine which he frequently played against, next to Tillet's mask. One morning, Kelly played against the computer. That morning, the computer deviated from its set program and used a different style of play, including the French 18th Century Opening chess move. On further inspection, Kelly observed that the computer wasn't even plugged in. This supposedly happened on numerous occasions, but only as long as Tillet's mask was nearby. Kelly claims that he had engineers X-ray and check both the mask and the computer, but that nothing unusual was found.
One 'Death Mask' of Maurice Tillet currently resides at the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame inside the York Barbell Building in York, Pennsylvania. It is on display in the strongman/wrestling section that serves to provide a glimpse into the origins of modern competitive weightlifting and powerlifting.

English-Hindu Crossover
A friend of mine came up with this idea of singing a song in another language of its original one. This reminds me a lot of the videos I watched last year. It's about an Indian song lyrics being translated to English, despite it's just the sound that's similar, not the exact meaning of the lyrics.
What can I say about this?
People are getting freaky creative nowadays! I can't help but to burst in laughter everytime I watch this.I've yet to think that languages can intersect and become globally utilize up to this extent.
"who put the goat in there?"..."the yellow goat I ate.."
Funny videos are really effective laughing pills to me! I hope that you find this enjoyable as well!
