Mooncake festival

Mooncake festival is one of my favourite festivals not solely because of the mooncake I get to eat during this occasion but it always gives me an impression of family reunion and reunited when this day comes.XD The round moon is such a nice symbol to represent the feeling of home and the warm family members it consists.

Speaking about mooncake festival,it is getting more commercialised and modernised with the invention of new flavours of mooncakes as well as the more "canggih"
lanterns.I still remembered when I was young,I used to play the traditional kind of lantern which was made by coloured paper or maybe something better than that, the plastic ones.

My mom just bought an electronic lantern for my niece recently. When you push up the button and the music starts to begin,of course, nowadays the lantern manufacture has improved a lot because not only do I hear chinese traditional songs but they have now included some nurturing songs as well.
Compared to todays' kids..I know my young time was.....

*out*
There wasn't even a Hello Kitty lantern during my times .

Be it outdated,I still prefer my times where I could be so anxiously waiting for the arrival of mooncake festival and had a joyful night playing candles and lanterns with my sisters, celebrating it with relatives which gave me a better feeling of the significance behind this festival-人圆月团圆 .I bet todays' kids have definitely missed out the great fun and the special feel we felt for this day.=) Hopefully the new generation never forgets the story about the greatman for his sacrifices which contributed to the occurence of Mooncake festival and understands the values the story it contain, which is part of the beauty of chinese culture.

Happy Mooncake festival and never forgets to eat mooncake-Pui Mun's advice.

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007

I would consider fireworks as one of the must-see events in our entire life,be it once but it must be the most memorable one.Forget about the tonnes of pollutants it create, watching fireworks can be quite enjoyble and it can be a sign of grand celebration for some significant occasions.Fortunately I kept myself update to the international fireworks competition which was held last month and did watch for one of the countries-Canada for their spectacular fireworks perfomance. There were all together 5 teams which were involved in this competition-Malaysia,Australia,Italy,Japan as well as the grand finale Canada.I bet this was the greatest firework I've ever seen so far.Every minute of the performance seemed to be so well-organised that I once had a
movie-watching feel while watching those sparkling lights entering my sight.* 5 minute standing applause for every team*

Picture speaks better than words and these were the photos I got it from different websites. Are you ready??And the movie begins...

One big family

College has done me good so far as I'm copping well with my studies as well as the good time I always have with my college mates in class or out of it.Speaking about college life,it is just an express period which compresses everything in a short duration regardless the time spent with friends or the syllabus to be covered fully.College friends have become another big family of mine, every familiar faces that I would see when I enter the class everyday in the morning. It has become very influential that we start naming each other by a disney character ,omitting their real names.Such a brilliant idea certainly strengthens our friendship bonds and expanding our family tree throughout the course.

I celebrate their birthdays...

I go skating with them...

I have most of my meals with them...

They shoot most of my candid pictures..

As much as I've seen theirs as well.XD

After all, here we are with our lecturer

I never forget the day we know each other,it was the day we are bonded and got closer.Just like I hardly forget I'm one of the members of Ausmat 2007,specifically march intake and so do every one of you.I really like the way we interact and identify ourselves a team, persevere together when we are in deep struggles on our future.A heartful thank you for all those good days we had with each other.

p/s: Arjue do take care and I wish to see you heading to your road of success in Egypt!! Take care!!
