Petronas Television Advertisements

Petronas New Year advertisement is always one of the highlights during my Chinese New Year celebration. Each year they'll come out with a CNY advertisement with different storyline, but somewhat all of them are connected because family love is revolved in all of them. For those who haven't watched their advertisements ,you might doubt on my favour on them.

But let me tell you the reason why....

I salute the professional crew who always squeezes every bit of their creativity to produce an impulsive piece of work.I find it uneasy to have always come out with good ideas wandering on the same theme for so long, whereas they manage to keep their quality work all the time.

I used to be a TV-lover but as time goes by, I hardly keep the same amount on time spent on television with the "a-little-heavy" work load burden on me most of the time.(I bet my mother will scream at me if I daresay what I have done was extremely heavy work load lol). These meaningful advertisements are definitely attractive factors to keep me beside of television occasionally, especially during CNY and National Day, where television is closely associated to my daily life at that time.

Advertisement is an important chain for entrepreneurs to win the publics' hearts, the only survival factor for this is to be "original and creative" for every publicity they make.Sadly to say, there are not much inspirational clips shown on TV,in fact, I find most of them being crappy and hardsell. You don't need someone to dance while mopping the floor to show that the cleaning products are effective right? Or smelling the detergent and smile to prove its great scent?
I mean, not many of us will do so when washing or mopping.

TV commercials by Petronas are meaningful. This is why I enjoy watching it a whole lot. Many of them are inspirational in which I feel these are the moral values that should be instilled in us. Such an advertisement makes us think back twice the significance of it and reminds us that it must not be something that loses touch in our lives.

The storyline is very down-to-earth and it's happening everywhere around us. Children neglecting their parents, close bond between grandparents and their grandchild etcetera. This might not be issues which pounder on us but surely we've witnessed it elsewhere, perhaps listening stories from the people around us would be sufficient for us to realise the truth that occurs.

To show their "Muhibah-ness", they often have TV commercials relating multi-racial friendship the love and care they share for each other. Well, it's always much more pure and beautiful to watch it on television, compared to the complicated and conflicting world outside. Seriously, I admire the multiracial friendship they bond on TV, because it's purely trust and love, no discriminating, just friendship.

A big applause to Petronas for the effort on all these adverds.

Speaking about advertisement, there's also one piece of work which I can hardly forget, I bet most of you left deep impression on it as well.

That's why I feel, originality and creativity matter a lot in the advertising field to spice up a piece of work.A good advertisement is enough for us to remember for the rest of the 10 years, surprising but somewhat true, isn't it?

English-Hindu Crossover

A friend of mine came up with this idea of singing a song in another language of its original one. This reminds me a lot of the videos I watched last year. It's about an Indian song lyrics being translated to English, despite it's just the sound that's similar, not the exact meaning of the lyrics.

What can I say about this?
People are getting freaky creative nowadays! I can't help but to burst in laughter everytime I watch this.I've yet to think that languages can intersect and become globally utilize up to this extent.

"who put the goat in there?"..."the yellow goat I ate.."

Funny videos are really effective laughing pills to me! I hope that you find this enjoyable as well!

Pui Mun's Self-Outing

I enjoy the feeling of self-outing once in a while, without having anyone to accompany but just to walk round and round in the mall. It is not that I'm a lonely ranger, but I believe that having self-outing regularly is a way to inject myself with fresh new ideas besides refreshing myself from the hectic and repeating schedule. Moreover, going to an inspirational place is what more an affinity to me when I'm deadly dragging myself with hell lots of tasks yet to be completed. I don't like to talk much when I'm exhausted though.

When I go out alone, I discover many little things that will usually be swept away. I can get myself seated and watching individuals responding to things differently. When I'm super duper energetic, I start to scan through items display in shops to look for interesting stuffs in which it is the source of my inspiration. Sometimes having window shopping is fine for me to update myself with the latest fashion sense. I personally like self-outing especially when I'm in search for something, like buying a gift for friends or purchasing goods for myself, with one condition-when I do not have a clue on what to buy.

I saw the Barbie Dolls Fair in one of my self-outings recently, and I urged to capture a few nice shots of these beautifully sewed gowns worn on the dolls besides spending some time appreciating the pretty handmade gowns by the tailors.I started to think how patient of them to have sewn such a nice and tiny clothe one by one, with minimum 30 pieces of them displaying there. However, I start to see the success of the advertising effect of this mini dolls fair, because most of the individuals will buy the dealer' s idea of merging jeweleries with wedding gowns since both are complementary during wedding occasion. Moreover, the public has been pampered to fancy cute and tiny things since the day dealers like to produce goods in mini sized.
Is it because that we give in to the market, choose from what's available from there, or just simply the market provides us with all of our demands, respond to all our needs? Profit is their ongoing objective, but most of the time I don't feel that my demands are answered by them, there are still a lot of things in my wishlist which I have yet to see them appear on the market. Perhaps I'm just hopping too much though, they are just humans who pocess one brain and all that I have,a human who is just like me, if I can't make it, I should expect less that people will make it for me,right?
However,it is still attractive to see Barbies dressed nicely as many of us(girls especially, hehehe) idolized them when we were young.Maybe Barbie symbolizes many young girls' dream of being pretty, being dressed nicely, forever stay happy that's why they like Barbie?

I continue with my window shopping after pausing for about 15 minutes, again I feel life is so exuberant with creative ideas and interesting things hanging around. Life can be interesting if I willingly open my heart and accept the changes to make myself a happier person.=)

p/s: CHONG PUI MUN, can't be so stubborn sometimes, to things which will never belong to us.
