Best Friend Forever!

“再见爱情,我一定让自己,让自己坚定”

“我也会藏着感谢,笑着和你说再见"

我的未来,我来了!

×这次要感谢的人有很多,对你们的感谢真的有说不尽的感谢,你们给了我写这篇网志的勇气,继续走的勇气×

To my one "sejuk" friend

" I like your haircut"

This was what he complimented on my short hair during the early few months of knowing him.

He looks gentleman, knowledgeable, funny and polite. He has what it takes to conquer many girls' heart ( Aiseh, am I exaggerating too much?? Iskandar XD),that was one of the first impressions about you which I heard from the others. However, I can't agree more to tag him as an out-going, creatively funny creature whom I coincidentally bumped into last year.

Crazy...
He's generous enough to show crazy yet funny poses for us to snap a picture of it, and add into his series of "collection" , be it on our cell phones, cameras or wherever place that we put them. He never fails to make you laugh at the end of the day!

Cute...
Despite being funny and crazy most of the times, he has his sweetie cutie moment as well.
Don't believe it?? See this....

With this picture, I strongly believe that he could have been so pretty in a lacey dress, shiny hair band and a pair of ballerina shoes. WHooHoo Iskandar ! *whistles* XD

Cool....
He is an inherently cool guy I feel, with his addictive characteristics, in which I feel that's contributing to his coolness and friendliness. His coolness raised when I first watched his performance on stage, XD I think it's the sunglasses that kills. *suddenly thought of Alex's mop-and-broom dance*. His performance with our other Ausmatians is vividly on my mind, the moment where we all cheered out loud just for them-the Ausmatians march intake 07. I came to a point where I felt so indifferent having to think of the bunch of friends whom I shared lectures and classrooms with for almost a year already, having to spend half my day with them daily at that time.
Thank you for all the good shows you all put up.

I did not have enough time with him last year, but most of the moments were crazy ones. I mean, I only took a formal photo of us throughout the year, and to be precise, that took place on the last day of our course(equivalently to our Prom Night),excluding some of his exclusive shots scatteringly shared among us, hieh hieh hieh !!

Just a few days before, I got invitation from my friends to attend his farewell party, a suprise one for him. It was an idea of his sister, to give him something special before he is off to Perth.

The part was held at Planet Hollywood, led to my first visit to it.

The food was good, the place was interesting, everything was perfectly fit for a gathering of a bunch of old friends.

" I wish you to see you in your short hair again before I leave"

He told me personally on his farewell party. Our conversation is impossibly occured without his comments on my hair.In fact, he has very naturally curly hair which I find it quite nice, it's rare to see guys looking good in curly hair and he's just one of them.

Anyhow, I'm glad he still remembers the short hair Pui Mun I was in 2007, the year I got to know him.

I left a few lines on the guestbook before I leave.

" Reminiscent the past, cherish the present , anticipate the future. "

After that I left, sending off another friend for his studies. We hugged and shook hands,

In my heart I whispered:When will it be the next time I see you?

That will be a few springs and summers later, should be.

At one point,I thought of my confidant, Val ! I know she's doing well in New Zealand, but I'm just missing those times we used to have, those times where we walked side by side back home after school.

All the best to you, I hope Perth will do you fine, might be a good place to main polo !=)

Good Luck, Iss...kandar Alias!

We will pray hard for you !=P

New, this is something new.

I used to do ushering job during high school society gatherings, whereby we were supposed to be exposed under the ultra-friendly sun to welcome visitors, representatives from other schools in our zone. We will usually end up like some roasted chickens at Kenny Rogers. Well, roasted chicken is nothing worst than having sunburn on the back and around the neck, having to bear with the skin-peeling-off pain is a tremendous cruel punishment to me.

I came across with my first ushering job for an event a week ago, it was a Groundbreaking ceremony of a Germany-based company-Q.Cells.Q.cells is the largest global solar cells producer who wishes to expand their market in Asia. 5 billion Ringgit of investment flows into the country for a production site in Malaysia, also their first kick out in Asia at the same time. They had their first official appearance last Monday at Cyberjaya. I think this is a very wise decision of them to have set up their first station in Malaysia, as we receive massive load of solar, combined with factors such as rising foreign investment growth and lower production cost relatively to Singapore , this might be advantages to their future company growth. After all, a transfer of advanced technology will be a healthy situation to our country.

Actually...actually.... it was just all luck for me to have stumbled upon this job. One of the working agents which received my resume called me up a few days ago in need of a female usherer to replace another girl who can't make her time for this event launch. He was in anxiety when he asked me for replacement, so was I since this agent is not in my list of working agents. After much questioning and consideration, when I assure there's low risk of it, I made a firm decision to work.

I was told to be there early for simple briefing as well as observations, to provide me a clearer picture about the company, event as well as the job scope. Job scope was not difficult , preparation before the event started was the killing part. My preparation was meant to sit down and watch over other workers in haste to complete their work.It was my time working when they get theirs done, just a difference in timing though. Come to think of it, half my day was spent on waiting, despite the actual working time was only 3-4 hours.

My job scope included doing registration, distributing door gifts, collecting business cards and lastly, usher them to their seats. Meanwhile I was supposed to help my 3 other working mates of the day when they're in need.

I only started to be busy at about 12.30p.m, when the first few guests came. Besides writing down their names, I arranged the door gifts together with the catalogs to convenient the guests to collect it at once. My job will complete when they collect their gifts, since another 2 girls were responsible to usher the guests to their seats later.

Everything seemed to go on the right track that day, only when an uninvited guest dropped by. The rain had no signs of stopping despite dropping its tears for quite some time. Unfortunately, the event could not be paused to complement with the rain. The Groundbreaking ceremony took place immediately after a round of speeches. The rain was so massive that all of us got wet while carrying on with our duty.It was lucky for me as I did not apply any make up..phew, no mascara or eye shadow falling off from the top.

Otherwise the event was smooth, as I had a better view on backstage crews who are one major determinant for the success of an event, from the amount of time they spend for a project, preparation, arrangement, everything must be ready before the arrival of guests. I must say, preparation always takes longer time than the actual event. It's only a 2-3 hours event which take far more than that to succeed it. Last minute work as well as irresponsible working attitude are not going to work for tightly scheduled events as such. When you're part of the crew, you just have to make sure that you do your part good, responsibly until it deserves every cent of your pay.

Another benefit I received from this event was the food. I had 2 meals included, and all of them were cathered food. To me, it was a plus point as I need not to spend extra expenditure on meals for just a one-day job. I specially liked the Crab meat.

I shall reveal one thing before I pen-off my post.

Actually...actually....

This was what the surrounding view looked like. They set up huge tent for the ceremony. It is believed that those sandy construction sites will soon turn into production sites of theirs.

The Forgotten Hero

I was about to make Kaya toast this evening, while my dad was eating porridge in the kitchen.

While I was spreading the Kaya over the bread, my dad came closer and asked:

爸爸:这罐加央还没过期的吗?
我: 嗯,这罐是妈妈刚新买的。
爸爸:小心一点,免得吃到肚子痛。
我:嗯,好。

Then he slowly walked off.It was a very short moment of my dad and I, but worth a million times more than it takes. This was something extraordinary from my dad, I whispered to myself.

To me, my dad is a silent thinker who does not reveal much about himself, be it his feelings or concerns, especially in front of his children. He repeats the same daily routine, which mainly is a switch among his career, family and frequent exercises.
Such acts never make me think that I'm sympathetic for being neglected or not getting enough attention because I understand the fact that this is his style of being a father, a responsible father who silently works hard behind his daughters.
Living under the same roof since my birth and the blood bond definitely bring us some similarities, being passionate on the same interests, from the food we like until the sports we support.

This is my father, the true hero that deserves my salutation for the entire life.

I once heard an interesting conversation about the forgotten heroes-fathers, how their children position them at different level of maturity as well as the stage of life they're placed in. When we were young, most of us worshiped our father to an
extent that they could bring down our dreams for us, father is the God in existence, who equips us mentally, educationally, financially. They are the role model for us to imitate,a philosopher who educates us a lot of theories in life, a supporter who truly appreciates your decisions.

As our age rises, we gain more exposure from other sources, starting to know those superheroes on screen, from Superman, Batman, Spiderman who instill the Heroes ideology in us, we begin our journey to adore these superheroes, who either wear extraordinary apparels or have uncommon features. We barely think ,
because everything they do seem to be so cool to us, young adolescent kids.
Days after days our life is shadowed with more of them, we buy t-shirts with these superheroes' image printed, video tapes to re-watch and re-watch the favourite scene of ours, toys to accompany us all the time. They have the unusual power which surpass our father, most of us thought. They have cool gadgets to play along with, we tend to think.Something start to miss out when we're indulged in this new company in our life and someone's being forgotten. We tend to spend lesser time playing around with our father.

Father has slowly become the forgotten and silent hero.

This forgotten hero never gave up and continuously provided his children with what they like, because he believed it was a satisfaction to have the ability to give.
He carried out with his daily routine and bought toys regularly for his children, brought them out for vacation, because in his eyes children' excitement would be a great achievement to him as a father. He never asked directly about his daughters' results, but he chose to support behind them, because between effort and performance, he chose effort. He just wanted his children to stay happy besides hiding heads in between of books. He wanted his children to stay healthy besides involving in various outdoor activities.

This is my father, the true hero that deserves my salutation for the entire life.

My father started from zero and gained everything using his brain and a pair of hands. Many of them see the sweet glamorous achievements under his endeavours, not a hundred people have witnessed the bumpy roads he went through with my mother. I got to know it later when my mom shared my dad's life experiences with me.I see it happening, that's why I'm always impressed on you, my hero.Being an earnest businessman, his intelligence brings him profitable trades.Being a father, he never fails to become my role model, I simply adore the morale support and million-cents worth of advices he gives. As an experienced teller, he sees the picture more clearly and therefore can jump out of the box for better suggestions. He doesn't pin-point the solutions, but he leaves hints for me to find out the answer, the suitable answer for myself. He doesn't talk much, but he'll still silently support us in his own way.

I love my father for many reasons, not solely being a filial daughter. I receive a lot of important pieces from him, that it will be indefinite for me to repay.
I'm feeling grateful to this forgotten hero, for all he has done and given.
It's something I only manage to understand as I grow older, that he is the most
down-to-earth, rational and loving hero on earth.

He doesn't have Batman mobile for me to drive, but he bought a Myvi which is just nice for a fresh driver like me.
My house is not as big as half of Tony Stark's, but bed is still where I find the warmth and thank in heart for this comfortable house of mine.
Compared to Spiderman, I'm not as ambitious but dad, you always care for me for who I am, but not what I can do to make you proud.

Dear father, you always earn my respect and never-ending support. If I succeeded in my future, most of the reasons it's because of you and mom, both of your existence that allow me to continue walking towards my dream. I'm always proud to have inherited some of your traits, your genes, that the next time I think of you, I can always see it in myself, because you'll always be there. I'm feeling contented.

This is my father, the true hero that deserves my salutation for the entire life.

For a lot of reasons, I very much love this forgotten hero, who'll always rank first among other heroes.

37 months and still counting

It was 3 years back when I had my first entry on my blog, pmun.blogspot.com.

Blogging- such a big idea has never come to me until an old friend of mine-Mk suggested this to me. Her blog(m3yipi) is a month older than mine.At first thought, never do I think that I can be a good blogger, sharing some thought-provoking issues to my readers, or creating awareness among this small community of followers who shell out their time for every piece of my writing.

" Who am I?? I'm just a secondary school student" I thought.

This new idea had occupied my mind for some time, until I decided creating an account at blogspot, thinking of a blog name and editing the layout, they were all new things to me, in fact a long process to a computer handicapped person(hmm,*cough*). To me, every blogger holds a commitment, a commitment with own self, to create a web page of oneself and never leave it abandoned. Start with an empty space and fill everything one by one with your own colours, stories and every single thing of yourself and the people mingling around you. It is an individual thing that the only one- owner can interfere with the amendments.

" Just start from the story of my life"
Being a newcomer to the realm of blogging, I told myself this.

I started out my first entry on 20.4.05 where I scratched head to squeeze out the 55 things about me as an introduction to everyone. Come to think of it, it was quite
unnecessary since I narrowed down my readers to close friends and random visitors whom google a lot on my name. At that time, most of my entries were based on many miscellaneous things on my past and recent life.

Over the year, I made some amendments by getting out of the box, tried on Chinese blogging posts, entries enclosed with pictures, wider entry scopes, the presence of significant people and past experiences have risen my inspiration and continuing my journey as a blogger, that it slowly changes my outlook on life. What I've gone through is contributing to my posts, but looking on what I've written, I gain inspiration from my previous thoughts on certain things. I think, that's a self-development by witnessing every phase of life that I once venture into, "sweet and sour, bitter and spicy" . I'm not surprised to say that I'm growing up with my blog all these while.

I never realise the value of my entries until a few months ago, when my posts have already accumulated up to 100 plus, my inspiration fails me to continue with blogging, coming up with interesting ideas to blog on. A few silent blog readers of mine(mostly my friends) came up to me, and told me stories of how they benefited from my blog entries, and how every sentence meant to them, from there I saw my power,as a blogger, and the satisfaction I received from my supporters who leave no footprints to be tracked, but never-ending encouragement and support. I can be the heroin of anyone without acknowledgement, a heroin to a few who read through my thoughts and got something from there, a heroin to myself for my courage to speak up.Just a mere thought of it, I feel good to do what I've been doing for 3 years +, to feel the same like how the others would feel for me and my blog.

Today, is 37 months since my blog's establishment. So much had happened in this 37 months, some were like thrilling games, the impulsion came for a while, and left eventually, some were like candy, just too good to be swallowed. One thing that allows me to remain, is what I've left here that will never change. I don't need to think big for my blog, as long as I think differently. I don't need to gain popularity from beemun.blogspot.com, as long as I gain encouragement and support. I don't need to be a public heroin, as long as I'm a small helper to a few. I'm a blogger who hasn't have my mindset settled down fully, who frequent usage of emoticons on MSN, who's still multitasking while waiting for uni's life to begin, who'll be crowned as Minnie Mouse by her lovely schoolmates, who'll be treated as a 15 year-old, at most 18 "young" girl by some random passersby, but a blogger who grows up together with her fellow readers and friends, which is also a mutual relationship that best suited both of the parties.

I don't need to be anything on my blog, just myself.

And this is how I found happiness from my blog, from the moment I think of a good title, the typing process that makes me smile every time it is done.

This is happiness,simple and easy.

pmun.blogspot.com was where I began, and beemun.blogspot.com will be the point I continue to fly on with my miscellaneous life, more stories coming to tell !

A surprise to all of you, click on munmun.atlee.my and see what will happen!

Good luck!

A letter from Japan

Yesterday, I spotted something unusual on the table of living room. Moving a few steps closer, I saw a Japanese postal stamp glued on the right hand corner of the envelope.

At first thought, I assumed it was from my hostel family .

However, I was proven wrong later while I read through the sender's details. The letter was posted from Kansai, Yui's place. Yui, the Japanese youth exchange participant I served 2 years back actually sent us a letter as a token of appreciation for our hospitality throughout her entire stay.

There was one moment where I started reminiscing those good times we had with Yui while touring KL and other hot spots with her. It was really exciting as I was the daily translator between my family and Yui. My sister even teased me on my Japanese language competence whenever she sees Yui's face expression reacting to my Japanese

Much had happened the 2 weeks she was in my house. I'm touched to the fact that she remembers this experience and politely claims that it was one of her best times in life. She had her first time traveling overseas and I had my first time making a Japanese friend, a mutual connection we have for each other.

Ahhh... seems like my wish list has been added with one more desire, I'm gonna save more money in future to tour around for my distant friends. Japan, is still one of my favourite countries, and Japanese, is the community I'm impressed on its culture's diversity, let alone the vibrance of the city.

Friendship can be bonded as pure and simple like this. We don't stay with each other regularly, but it's the path we once went through that steal our emotions for every of our reminiscent on them.

Thank you for your letter, Yui !

Too Thin??

A few of my friends have been showing their concern on me of my weight. They feel that my weight has been dropping since these few months, without my acknowledgment. I suppose that's just an outcome of my recent hectic lifestyle. However, one thing I must tell all of you, normal meal plan is still carrying out, maybe just a change in timing while I'm at work due to the change in break time, but I'm still living healthily while everything runs on the right track.

=) I'm very fine here, not suffering from any major problems. Maybe I should say, I've found my way of living during this long break, enabling myself to design a desired lifestyle for myself when I'm away of books.

Tee hee hee, so don't enlarge so much on my weight! It's just a proof of my endeavors.

Once in a while, I'll still have a nice dessert to reward myself.

A Busy April!

I've been living busily since the beginning of March, this keeps my friend wondering what kind of lifestyle I'm up to, those who don't catch up with me often will always ask:

"PM, why don't I see your pictures on your blog?"

I decided to do a little bit of revealing to clear off your doubts, to let you all know that I'm fine though daily routine still continues, but I begin to immune myself to it, and explore the excitement of the day.

Keeping myself busy is a way to lose weight naturally, this works on me I feel.

I made myself to the Samadian Idol's Final, knowing that Winney made it to the final round, I was there specially to support her and inject her with some confidence by seeing some familiar faces down stage. I hope you enjoyed the entire competition, every bit of it from friendship to the supportive crowd, criticism is a way to let you stand out from failures, you'll never get to satisfy everyone, =) but one thing here is, you never fail to satisfy your supportive audiences here, us!

"Winney, bravo and you won for your courage and effort, for always being the singing enthusiast!"

It was another pleasant day being reunited with old friends, they are always the best people to spend a day with.

Everyone of us gathered together before Karen left for her tertiary education to Inti Nilai. The usual lunch, chit-chatting and movie outing to all of us, but it feels greater seeing my close friends who I've not been up together for months.
Thank you Chew Lian,Karen,Catherine,Lester.

How I wished Susie was there to complete the bunch of us.
My sincere confidant, I miss our Sarawak trip!!

There were 2 birthday celebrations in April, with the presence of the 2 birthday girls-Pui Yan and Suk Teng, both are my primary buddies. To make it special, MK and I went to buy cupcakes for Pui Yan, and specially made a CD with some meaningful tracks in it. Then it reminds me of every birthday celebration we spent together since standard 6.

Looks like all of us have grown up a lot! From innocent kids to big big girls!
From parents driving us around, until we drive our friends around ! I'm glad, to have you girls accompanying me during my adolescent time.

My first event job was to be a skincare promoter for Cellnique. Fanny, the one beside me on the picture,is my partner of the 5 working days. As expected, it was a tiring promoting job, attracting customers to catch up with the current promotion Cellnique offers.

I suppose the unexpected thing out of it is making a few nice friends and keep in touch with them. Suprisingly, I'm the only K.L born student among them. Come to think of it, it might be a good thing as I can foresee more local trips to be held in future.

Next job------ Beverage promoter

And lastly....

Them...

Them....

and her..

All 3 of them are making my day busy, since it's almost a 24/7 babysitting job,
I feel that I'm getting older and older in terms of age and physical condition.
Being called " yi-yi" by my niece everyday reminds me of "aunt minnie" often called by my friends- Ah lian and Ah bong , I think I'm really ahead of you all in that case.

Remember what did I say in one of the entries
"Perhaps I babble too much with my niece and nephews nowadays, that I lose my adult side!"

This is what happened when

" Open eyes I see them , Close eyes also I see them!"

Perhaps you got me by now!

With all these activities, I can conclude that my current life is good, confronting new challenges weekly and adapting myself as a babysitter, enjoying the happiness with just one of their smile!

What a busy but exciting April!

Sunway College students are all rich kids?

I have confronted a very interesting question while I work as a freelancer this month.Despite, this is not something new to me because there are people who ask me such a question since the day I enrolled in Sunway College last year, I still find it an interesting scene when every new friend comes out with the perception that Sunway University College students are all rich kids.

Friend A: Hey, what college are you currently studying?
Me: Oh, I've completed my pre-u studies last year at Sunway College.
Friend A: Wah... then you must be a rich kid, then don't need to work also can lah!
Me: Hmmm, but I don't get pocket money if I don't work.
Friend A: Haiya, just need to ask your parents to give you, then it should be okay already.
Me:......
Friend A: You got scholarship or your family is paying for you?
Me: I got partial scholarship and the rest was paid by my parents.

Being a former Sunway student, I can assure you that not all Sunway students come from filthy rich families, and this is definitely a fact I realised after mixing up with other students and classmates. There are those who come from middle-income earners or even financially disabled ones, but they choose Sunway College due to the comfortable study environment and efficient teaching methods. Just like other colleges, Sunway College shows their concern and generosity by offering scholarships and some other financial aids to their students, which makes it an attainable choice to study over there. Even if you don't obtain full A's in SPM, you will still be offered a partial scholarship to minimize the annual tuition fee.

Sometimes I'm doubtful on the idea, why can't Sunway students work to earn extra pocket money, it's definitely a better way to gain money than showing up their hands always to get money from their parents, without knowing how hard the source of their spending come from. Even if they are rich, what's wrong with they work to get what they want with their own money, besides utilizing their holiday time to gain some experience and exposure? In addition, working part-time is not a big deal for peers at our age.

"Furthermore, rich kids cannot work one meh?"

Sorry, but I'm yet to be that pampered to shake legs at home and ain't doing something contributive for the entire long period of my free days.

Rich kids still have to get out out the comfy zone and start devoting themselves into the working field after completing their tertiary education, so working part-time is just an early exposure for them to get used to the workload as well as working hours which they're going to experience it permanently in future.

All in all, there'll be rich kids everywhere, not all centered in just one place.
Therefore, I just hope that this will correct the perception of those out there who still think Sunway College is an institution which gathers a bunch of rich kids, trust me, because I've experienced it and that's why I'm emerging it out. With brilliant academic performance, one can easily be studying at Sunway with full waiver on tuition fees as well.

Furthermore,be it rich kids or poor kids, will still end up working someday, don't self-create a border to distinguish students based on their family's wealthiness, the chunks of money don't fall from the sky easily, there must be some tough stories behind their parents as well.

Forget about that, everyone will have to work for their desires and demands.

And therefore I, am still happy to work as a part-timer and receive self-income, while reminiscing my past experience at Sunway College.
