Kayak
I’ve a lot to blog about my past summer actually with a series of interesting events occurring in the past few months, but I just didn’t have the ohm to keep up with my scheduled blog posts. Procrastination is always a bad idea and I’m definitely not tolerating it anymore, I realize that I should use my time more wisely. It’s more like a self-reflection before graduation, a wake-up call telling me that time management and fulfilling plans are extremely important in making my life a successful one.
Seriously, I’ve so many things in mind that I don’t know where to start with. So I’m just going to start from the more recent activities and then track back my happenings from time to time.
My friends and I took advantage of the sun and we went kayaking under the sunny weather last month. Kayaking is nothing new to me but somehow I always do this in a foreign country, be it my first time in Gold Coast 10 years ago and the second in Vancouver. I find kayaking very interesting and it’s an activity that would be much more fun to do with a good friend. That’s probably due to the fact that partners who can match with each other’s pace well and move concurrently can halve the exhaustion and frustration of this activity efficiently. Thus, I highly recommend this activity with a good friend or take on another option of 1-person kayak.
And yup, please welcome my crazy buddy Isis’s nails and legs!
It’s also a very good time to do some serious chatting while kayaking because that’s one of the few things you could do in the middle of the lake, apart from being immersed into the natural surroundings. So, just talk!!
That was indeed a very good day of mine in August, with friends and nature, what more can I ask for?

Our bet
About one month ago, Eu asked me to randomly guess the world cup champion 2010 by telling me all the participating countries. She knew that I’m a football noob, that’s why she asked me to guess it by using all my luck.
She said : “ Oklah, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, England etc are the stronger teams among the others. “
So with no knowledge about the footballers and their skills,I started eliminating the teams intuitively …
I don’t like Brazil and there’s no reason for it, so Brazil is out.
Argentina, my only impression on Argentina is just that song “ Don’t cry for me, Argentina” and it doesn’t sound good to have everyone crying for the country. I don’t like, so Argentina is out.
England, I only know Beckham, but Beckham is not playing already, so England out.
What’s left? Germany.
Me: Ok, then I choose Germany.
Eu chose Argentina , and we made a bet in such a way that the loser will do a thing for the winner, and if Argentina and Germany didn’t win, then it’s a tie and we shall forget about the bet. Somehow my intuition tells me that she’s going to ask me cook for her if I lost the bet.
Because of that, I actually watched one football live match just to see how Germany team performs. After watching the match between Germany and England, I started feeling good about my supporting team. Hohoho, hopefully the good luck continues my way.

Therefore, one reason Germany should win the World Cup 2010 is because that I chose you out of the other 31 countries based on nothing but a blind guess and faith.
So reward me with your victory okay, keep up the spirit and morale.

In a crave for Beijing Olympic
I took ferry to my sister's house in Vung Tao yesterday. Vung Tao is 125km from Ho Chi Minh city(HCMC), about 90 minutes of ferry ride from HCMC.It is unsymmetric to Saigon's lifestyle, what makes it attractive is its vibrant culture, with a number of temples, churches and statues footed on the island. There is a Giant Jesus on top of the small mountain, offering a panaromic view to the surrounding landscape.
One of my daily must-do activities is to switch on the television and start searching for live telecast for any Beijing Olympic games, it's sad to note that there aren't much choices to choose from, let alone the live telecast ones, it's difficult enough to find a nice game to watch.
I mean, they have 50 over channels but just not more than 2 channels which show olympic games.
I can't help but to yell to myself, WHERE IS THE CHANNEL FOR BEIJING OLYMPIC BADMINTON????

So I decided to countdown for the days I'm going home for ASTRO Super Sports which set up 10 channels exclusively for Beijing Olympic games. It's for sure that I'll look up for the programme list for Badminton matches repeats.
One thing that will never stop is my never-ending search these few days for the Olympic medal countboard to look for the latest result.I hope our national team will end the gold drought this time, especially for the Badminton and Archery teams, though it's not the first time they claim that our team is at the peak point of getting one. Let's just have a glimpse of hope on them, who lift up high morale in participating.Speaking about the result, I'm very impressed with US's superb swimmer, Michael Phelps who made his fifth gold in the Beijing Olympic and breaking a few world records. The record-breaking 23-year-old is now 3 golds away from his quest of 8 gold medals.Out of the 10 golds US achieved, half of them were from Phelps. This result shocked me a lot, and raised my salutation towards this talented athlete.

Otherwise, my Vietnam trip will be a perfectly ideal trip. It would mean touring in the afternoon and late evenings ,and catching a few matches at home.
Of course, perfection doesn't come often.
I will say, my trip is as good as my past ones. The important element to make up a good trip is present, as I'm enjoying my good times here, be it going to the supermarket, sipping the coffee Sua Da, trying out the local fast-food are just plain pleasure for a relaxing vacation.Perhaps,I'm observing the culture through the usual daily practises apart from snapping a few photos on the splendid view of the island.

Badminton
=) I believe that most of you who are reading realise that I'm not a very sporty student, very seldom involved in sports ,neither do I representing the school for some sports competition.I think that it is a great loss to me for not being trained in a specific type of game since young.xDYou know, that's the time where talents are being discouvered.
However, there is just one special sport which makes me really fascinated and enthusiasted in it,it is the badminton. It is one of the most earliest games which I've started learning since young. My father was the one who brought me into this game, and since then,I've always wanted to improve on my skills. To me,he was a really great player who played badminton for his interest.Badminton was the game who brought my father and I closer when I was young. He was the one who bought me the first badminton racquet, taught me the way to smash and had always guided me the correct way to play badminton. There was even a period where both my parents and I went for badminton during weekends.
Badminton is not a difficult game to learn,it requires consistent lessons and stamina build up.It is not an expensive game to play, all you need is just a shuttlecock and a racquet.xD The best part I like in this game is that it doesn't need very big movement, unlike football, where the player has to run all the way on field.I really feel the joyment after sweating for the game.It is limited in the square at the back for single matches, the longer square on both left and right hand side for double matches.
Another interesting part of the game is that it is a game which involves mentally and physically.A good player is the one who manages to read through the opponent's mind and to ruin his strategy to win in a match. One needs to play consistently regardless the situation they are in,not too much ups and downs in a sudden.=) And mood is definitely a decisive factor in winning a match,so hehe, make sure you are in a flying mood whenever you are playing any kind of sports.xD In a nutshell, badminton is one game to train intelligence and patience as well. However,I hardly had enough time to allow me for badminton in these few years, until now where I started to sense the freedom coming around me.I swear that I'll play badminton a lot during this hols!! Fellow friends, don't forget our promise to have badminton weekly if possible e!xD
Besides playing badminton,I enjoy watching badminton too.I had watched quite a number of tournaments which were held this year, from thomas cup to doha asian games which is recently held. Most of the time I was holding my revision books while sitting in front of the tv for badminton matches.I really thank Astro for always having live for important matches of the year.it is just so fun to watch it with my parents who have the same passion as I am in this game, especially my father.I had watched the badminton men team's of doha asian games this whole week, mostly with my father.I prefer watching the men team's badminton than the women's team. That's because men's team more powerful smashing and techniques lead the matches high high up all the way,xD as though my eyes are on the ball, following the ball on every direction it goes.=DHere,Pui Mun claps hand for the men's double for wining the only gold of badminton for our nation.xD It's a tragical for the unexperienced team to have such a brilliant result, helping Malaysia to end the 36-year drought in badminton.I was actually quite happy for it until I couldn't sleep at the midnight after watching it.xD The picture of Malaysia's flag being risen high up and the national song was aired in front of so many supporters had stucked into my mind terribly.xD Haha,I just couldn't calm down my feeling for listening the national song due to victory in badminton after so many years.

=) Badminton shows very great significance to me,=) it brings me good memory,it leads me to deep enthusiasm in it,and most importantly,it's definitely one communicating tool and topic for me to chat with my family,an neverending chatting.
This is my favourite player.
