Anticipating for August.

I'm now working as a part-time promoter for Haagen Dazs new flavour- Mango & Passion fruit. The job will last for 3 weekends, in which 2-3th August will be the last round of work. Prior to this, I had worked under King's for Buds and King's temptation ice-cream series a few years back. Mango & Passion fruit is irresistible to me, as mango is always my first choice of all other flavours, the passion fruit bits further enhance the taste making the ice-cream a little sourish.I think this is what led me to accepting this job as I will get unlimited supply of ice-cream besides the wages.

Come to think of it, I will need to ready a sum of money for preparation for uni. Let alone the tuition fees, I'll have to earn sufficient amount of money to do some shopping besides buying the electrical gadgets, which I've started last month. That means I'll have to save a few thousands at minumum before I can touch my new camera, and possibly notebook as well.I bet this best explains my workaholic lifestyle for the past few months, as all these expenditures will be coming out from my pocket without having to dig into past savings account.

Speaking about uni, everything is on its progression, as for visa issuance and flight reservation. My dad has just subbed a credit card for me in case of emergency matters( with a limitation, of course XD) .Other that that,I've just registered myself for an English proficiency test, LPI which will be held on the second day I reach Vancouver. Besides that, I'm on the way settling my subjects registration and fitting every single subject required into my timetable. In addition, I've to confirm my booklist for book reservation to ensure the books availability meanwhile enjoying the special discounted rate.About the accommodation , I'm quite abandoned by the on-campus housing, even after appeal has been made. Fortunately, I've found myself a suitable lodging to rent with its strategic location and reasonable room rate , about 20 minutes bus ride from the campus, and another 15-20 minutes bus ride to downtown and Chinatown. I hope they don't disappoint me on my room reservation though.Besides that, I'll be given an U-Pass exclusively for UBC students for public transportation , which will cost me CAD 23.75 per month, CAD 190 for a semester to be precise.

Before a round of farewell gatherings, I'll be off to Vietnam for a week to visit my elder sister and her family on the 10th August. Vietnam is quite a good place for its local delicacies and shopping means. The bad side will be of an unstable electricity supply due to insufficient power to generate electricity. My brother-in-law has bought a generator to get rid of it, or else Jia Huey will be on fever on and off.

About farewell, I've started to expand my imagination after being told about the surprise party and stuff, I think I roughly know the planning in my mind,so let's see if it matches with their real planning or not. Mk suggested to have a yumcha session before sending me for my flight, that'll be a good idea of course, even if it fails, we'll still have regular hangouts before that. Chew Lian has informed me about the surprise party and roughly told me the attendance, plus some surprises. Wei Lun also hints me on a surprise he would give if he could make it on time. Lastly, it'll be my 2 secondary buddies who plan to have an outing on 23th August, for a deep talk maybe? I always enjoy those good chatting times we have.It seems like everyone is trying to surprise me for this time, should I be ready for it? Anyhow, let's just have fun like usual for the one last time before I leave.

All in all, my August timetable will be fabulous for sure, with a lot of happening things occurring in a shot. After August, it'll be time to shut down my playing mood and return to my student's life. Being a student is always a joy at all times.

August, I'm coming. Or should I say, Vancouver, I'm coming?
